Ross Racing Pistons is specialized in the manufacturing of high quality forged aluminum pistons, for a large variety of engines. Ross Racing Pistons combines light weight, high strength, precision machining and premium materials to build a part you can depend on for high horsepower, torque and reliability. Ross Racing Pistons can design a custom piston for nearly any application and design it to your exact needs / specifications. For situations in which the engine is unusual, you may send Ross us a sample piston outlining changes you desire in your new pistons. This will prevent confusion and assure that the correct pistons are manufactured.
All Ross Custom Pistons Include:
- Pin fit at no extra charge.
- Lock removal indents.
- Accumulator groove.
- Forced pin oilers when applicable.
- Radius valve reliefs.
- No extra “engineering” charge for special designs made from sample pistons, drawings, computer discs or emails.

All of Ross Racing Pistonspistons are forged from 2618 billet bar stock and have been heat treated and aged to a T61 condition (2618-T61). 2618-T61 is the material that is used when fatigue resistance and durability are of prime importance by all premium racing piston manufacturers. This material has less than 1% silicon particulate content. High silicon content pistons (forged from 4032) will not stand up to the most extreme stress placed on many racing pistons. Another advantage of 2618-T61 over the high silicon pistons is the ability to keep its shape under extreme pressure and high RPM’s. “Skirt Shrinking” is not a problem with Ross Racing Pistons.
